3 weeks of cipper and still ich?

I would agree with the above post, 1-1.5 weeks more of copper and evaluate. I have personally gotten away from copper and only use CP. Very very happy with CP. For starters it is not a poison for the fish. Very effective with low risk. I would definitely do copper for a while longer than evaluate. If you still have signs of a parasite then I would switch over to CP immediately. I have been talking with Humblefish about his experiences over the years on multiple fish and CP. He has never had a fish treated with Rx quality CP and have parasites after two weeks of treatment.

The best and purest route is getting a Rx from a vet. New Life Spectrum also sells a version named 'Ick shield'.

I never had any luck with the food. I use the powder and the results have been extraordinary. CP is an amazing medication that works and is safe for most fish. I would avoid the food and use the powder. It's possible for appetites to be suppressed so my advice is to start the dosage on the low side and work to the middle range. I would administer 40 mg/gallon and high range is 80mg/gallon. Its almost not fair how great and easy this medication is. Do NOT USE on Hippo tangs or wrasses! Good Luck.

I have a tricolor fairy wrasse. I guess that rules out using the med on this batch of fish.

When you do water changes, are you adding the copper to the new saltwater before you add it to the qt? This is often overlooked when first doing quarantine..

If your asking me, than yes. In the past i didnt i would add the new water than dose up to the necessary level. Never had an issue. Now i do just because its a little faster to accomplish

Yea I also put copper in the new water. Ive been doing probably 10 gallons of water changes a week spread out
