I recently purchased a new 150 system that had one of 302 scrubbers installed. I never had a scrubber before so i was curious how it would work. It seemed to do nice but man it was big and bulky and one of the lights burned out and i didn't see anywhere on their site about buying a replacement light? I ended up pulling it from my system and run a cheato reactor instead.

good for you. is the chaeto reactor working well for you? I could never grow chaeto. for whatever reason, long haired algae would grow onto the chaeto and choke it. so I just finally did the turf scrubber instead. if you can't beat the long haired algae, I figured I would just join in and grow it instead....

reactor only been a few days so its too early to give it a fair assessment. So far so good though. Only draw back so far until the cheato takes off is my PH swing is lower without that scrubber running.

I need help setting one of these up in my Reefer 450. It came with it but I can't see how it is supposed to be plumbed? Thanks!

Hi There,

The ATS is built to go on top of your sump. If you need a platform, you will need to get 1/2" acylic cut to fit your sump so it can sit without the platform bowing.

The barb fitting you would connect to a pump like a quiet one (I think that one would need a Quiet One 1200). The bottom bulkhead is the primary drain. That should be plumbed with pvc down to your center sump area (use a union and then pvc to have it go down to the water line so it is quiet. The bulkhead near the top is the emergency drain. You can leave that one as is as it should make noise if it drains so you know there is a problem.

You will want to plumb the pump to the first section of your sump. You can connect via a manifold, but if you are using a skimmer or filter sock you will not get optimal performance because you want the dirtiest water to run through your ATS.
