I am really excited as well even though I have no idea what to expect. Other than the fact that all of you experienced frag swappers tell me I'm gunna go nuts and are all acting silly makes me think I'm gunna go a little crazy as well! LOL

With the title I was not expecting this thread to be about a frag swap...haha. Have a great swap guyS I can't wait for my local clubs swap

OMG yes. .... My first swap was neat. it was a tiny one held by the MTRC at a hotel near Opryland. it may have even been the first swap. I joined just before that. it was a tight crowded room with like 15 folks selling corals. NO big vendors. it then moved to a community center in Goodlettsville. 3 years here with the addition of a few companies but not many. I learned alot in those days from Gflat and several others in the group. it was then in Murfreesboro for two years. three years ago, it was in Antioch and I think that was the first year we had some larger commercial Vendors like Reefkoi, Pacific East Aquaculture and Midwest Saltwater (eye Candy Coral). Last year was phenomenal with High Def and several others joining the fray. This year, I feel like a kid again I am so uber excited to see the corals. One Vendor who has been with us the longest is Dirk. Make sure to thank him for sticking with us.

I tend to feel this has grown over the years from a simple local swap to being truly an Expo.

......and for the noobs, Bring a whole wad of cash. there will be plenty of places to drop it.

gflat just gave me a little history lesson on MTRC and the swaps. He and Erik(reewik) were the first to really make the swaps happen. The hotel by Opryland was the Radisson, then it moved to Goodlettsville, and the a couple were even held in Chattanooga before then.

Very cool that both Gary and Erik are still around and started all of this for us to carry on.

I have to say I am beyond excited to be able to make it Saturday. This will be my first swap. Thanks to everyone in the club my tank cycled just in time for this event. What's more exciting is the wife rearranged her schedule to come as well! See you all Saturday!

Talk about great timing! You can get some really nice primo pieces to start the tank off right!
