Curious as to how many stages everyone is running on their RO/DI unit.
After my little fiasco I'm running the best of the best with 7 stages.
Sediment
5 Micron Carbon Block
1 Micron Carbon Block
(2) 75GPD RO Membranes
Cation DI Resin
Anion DI Resin
Mixed Bed DI Resin

But please share yours!

I’m using a BRS 5 stage, tds is 0 going into the di resin and 0 coming out.

7 stage. Was running 5 stage, but was burning through DI resin like it was salt on my dad's potatoes. I still burn through Anion pretty quick (not as quick as mixed resin) but much cheaper than before. The upgrade will pay for itself in a year I calculated. I have not replaced the cation or the mixed since upgrade - approx 400 gallons worth. I've replaced the anion 2x. Before I had to replaced mixed resin alone every 100 gallons.

Both 5 and 7 gave me 0 TDS output by the way.

Would anyone be surprised that I don’t run RODI but just a water filter with 0 TDS? My tap runs at 10. I have a RODI system but after testing my water filter that I use for drinking water, I decided to stick with it. It occasionally jumps to 1-2 but I haven’t seen any negative so far.

Btw @Crabs McJones ~ have you fixed the GHA and cyano yet? I had cyano take out some corals. Once I got rid of it, magic. A friend of mine batted GHA and cyano and it killed his tank. Very few corals left.

I wiped it out with a reboot. It hasn't resurfaced as of yet.

Just using the BRS 4 stage. Probably going through more DI resin than I would with a beefier system, but I keep an extra cartridge on hand and change it when I get 1 TDS out. No problems in 2 1/2 years.

Oh I know those aren't Spectrapure membranes, so maybe a close second to the best

0.5 Micron Carbon
Dual 90GPD Spectrapure Select Plus Membranes
Cation DI
Anion DI
Mixed Bed

Takes my 240-270 TDS to 0-1 after membranes and 0 after all that lovely resin

So what's everyone's Tap TDS and how do you handle it?

Over the past little while I've been reading lots of threads on RODI selection questions and seen some responses here and there about some who have insanely high and insanely low TDS and pressure coming from there tap. And it really got me wondering how wide of a range there really is out there...
