Just out of curiosity I tested dkh.. it was 13.1 ! ?? I know I don’t really have anything consuming alk or calc. Just surprised it’s that high. I use fritz reef pro. Other levels are stabilizing ammonia is coming down and nitrate is also coming back down. Likely due to the chato growth.
 
I would double check it or see if the LFS can give you a second opinion. That does seem very high.
 
Already did it two times lol. I’ll mix a small batch of water tomorrow and see where it stands. Could it be all the dry rock leaching bicarbonate ? Idk if that’s really a thing ??

My understanding is the pH would have to be very low for that to happen at that magnitude.

Found a fungia and a polyp rock. Waiting for them to acclimate
 
Was hoping to find a scolly but they told me they don’t generally stock them due to the cost.
Can’t wait till it settles in and get it’s pe back!
Looked awesome in the store tank.
Did a ten min dip in revive found nothing on the fungi but had 4 bristles on the zoa rock
 
bought local, just got another round of filters. "abc reefs solvay ny"
prepping a fish room for a 180 gal.
