40 Breeder sump.. It's a masterpiece.

Woudent be hard go do since it's acrylic, but there is few places I can put it. Just don't know if I will continue to use my stick style heater or do with the neotherm

For watter supply from the tank. Water will flow into there, up and then fall down the filters socks to keep plumbing out of the way for easy changing.

Looks sick main. Great job.

Dont you love when you finish up and look at it and are like - dang....... Im good lol.

Just finished a pretty sick 40b sump a bit ago also. So nice getting everything out of the way.

Also wondering on chamber before return - fuge -qt area - frag and extra space area?
Putting a strip of say 1/2" acrylic along sides or on baffles front to back in that chamber to use as bracing to set a rack(eggcrate) on later might be a thinking ahead idea to add. Did it in mine - actually did a couple - 1 splitting to make 1/2 fuge 1/2 frags and the sides for setting rack on. Works swell

Not s bad idea so split th the fuge for a frag rack kinda?

Thst area in front of everything the small 6*6 space will be where all my plumbing flows into. It will then travel up and over into the filters Oct sock section, down the socks out to the skimmer, and reactors, over to the fuge then return. I can draw it up and post my plans if u like to help understand

If you're not putting sand in the section next to the return pump, you might want to consider removing the first baffle so the water flows at an angle top to bottom. Bottom will get stagnant.

I am going to be starting my 40g breeder sump build next week. I love what you did in the first chamber to keep the pipes out of the way. If anyone has any suggestion for me on how to make a more efficient as well as practical sump please help me out by sharing. I am new to the hobby "learning progress"... Thanks

I just lay my heaters in middle section of sump. Doesn't need to be fancy.
