I’ve been talking to @Vivid Creative Aquatics and have decided to run their RFG nozzles on all 4 sea swirls . I can’t wait to let you guys know how these things are .

Right now it’s just a weekend grudge car in Mexico lol built 426 , d1 procharger . My plan for the car is for half mile racing , that’s why I’m switching over to twin turbos .

I apreciate it man!one thing I really wanted with this build is to keep it clean so it’s as easy as possible for my wife to take care of especially.

This trip home my goal is to get the basics of the tank running . One thing I want to do different with this tank before I load it up with frags is let it mature for a few months . I want to be patient and allow this tank to be succesfull as possible . When I return from my next trip . Lights and apex will get setup . I have 4 radions from my 180g that I will put on the tank while I’m gone . I’m still on the fence about how many t5s I’m going to do . Right now the plan was 2 6 bulb SunPowers + 2 4 bulb Sunpowers. The other option was to go big and do 4 6 bulb Sunpowers .

Today I got a lot of the small stuff done and starting finishing up the stand/ cabinet doors . The vents are painted to vent out as much heat as possible and will go into the stand tomorrow . I will also start doing some wire management and turn the pumps on tomorrow ! I highly recommend these outdoor outlet covers for anyone with a sump near an outlet to prevent salt damage that can lead to a fire .

Thank you man it’s almsot there , the sump is almost filled finally ! Pumps will for sure be getting turned on today . I love 18 tall tanks , I have a little surprise for everyone when I return home in the form of a 18 tall frag tank .

Got the doors put on but still have to trim them and adjust them . Going to turn the pumps on in the next few hours .

Looks nice. One tip (maybe you did it already) is to place the base rock directly onto the acrylic bottom rather than on the sand. Latter will move and can destabilize the rock formations.

I actually used aquarium epoxy to hold the big pieces in place .

Just got back with salt from my lfs . I will be using instant ocean to start the tank . Once it’s time for the first water change I’ll be switching over to brightwell Neomarine . I ordered Fritz Zyme 9 bacteria to get the tank going .

I have had great luck with both brands . I’m big on once you find what works for you just sticking to it . I love brightwell products and have had great success with their salt in my sps tanks .

Well guys the tank is running but it wasn’t easy at all....I had a lot of issues getting the pumps going . The first pump started up fine and I did a leak check on the whole system . At that point I noticed a small drip coming from the volute and saw it was cracked . Thankfully directly on Reeflo’s website is a diagram of replacement parts . I ordered the part And went to get the second pump going and it was air bound . After a few minutes of frustration I reversed the 90’elbow on the suction side of the sump and I had discharge pressure finally . As of now the tank is running on 1 pump and 2 sea swirls . Today didn’t go quite as planned but now that the tank is running it was well worth it .

wow, epic build! Thanks for the suggestion to run the Random Flow Generator nozzles with the sea swirls. I've order them and now can't wait to try them out.
