Thanks so much for all the suggestions. If not a fish, then any other shrimp or other invert suggestions? I have aiptasia. Would Peppermint shrimp be a good idea? If so - one or two?

Just make sure you get the aiptasia eating variety there's a ton of different peppermints

I actually converted a few mollies over to saltwater in mine (I have an EVO V), since I really wanted it to be an invert haven, but wanted a little swimming action. I know it isn't fun or glamorous to just have freshwater fish in your saltwater tank, but the corals and inverts still give it that salty vibe and the mollies provide some movement and are GREAT algae eaters!
Dude I swear saltwater is better for Mollies, when I see Mollies Reef raised their color is so much more vivid they almost look like a different fish.

Small yellow watchman
Neon Goby
Clown Goby
pistol shrimp
Sexy shrimp
pom pom crab
(Temporarily!!!!!!!!) a very small ocellaris or percula. (would need to upgrade eventually)
The people who are saying no to fish in such a small tank are more or less right, you should provide a larger space if possible, but if using the proper amount of rock work, the above fish would do fine.
Stay away from any mandarins, the mandarins would be an okay size but they only eat copepods and would deplete a system that small very fast.
Also, I would suggest bumping up to the Fluval Evo 13.5, you can fit a better amount of coral and fish, and can run a protein skimmer, does better on evaporation than the 5 gal

None of those, unfortunately.
Firefish need at least 15 gallons, clowns need at least 20 and blue damsels need around 30. Even a single masked goby would be a bit cramped. You could make it a fantastic shrimp tank though! Sexy shrimp or pederson cleaner shrimp would be lovely.
Depends on the variety of clown fish. Some are much smaller than others. I see the same small ocellaris looking family (at least I think it's the same family) year after year in the same anemone on a rock no bigger than 8 -10 inches. Those fish are basically stationary and 5g is plenty big as long as the water can be kept clean. Same with the fire fish.

I do agree with you on the blue damsel though. I see those covering quite a bit more space.
