Is the conclusion here that the CaRx isn’t providing more than the big 2 in the skeleton melting process? Ie. The other trace elements aren’t stored in the skeleton thus isn’t available to be broken down.

It provides more than alk and calcium,, but certainly cannot provide what is being used by, for example, soft corals, algae (micro and macro), bacteria, etc.

I guess the question really lies in the media in terms of what is in it. Could it be this varies with the coral media where as some might have more trace than others. I guess the real question is "what all is released in the CaRX melting question", Thanks, Randy.

Yes, the source of the media will impact what is in it. There have been many studies over the years, but I'm not sure how that helps one select a media, and the companies selling it can change suppliers without anyone knowing.
