Hello Everyone,

This is my first post, i have loved salt water tanks since i was a kid, have always wanted one and i finally have the means to afford one. I am a complete newbie and so i have enlisted the help of a LFS to design, build and assist in maintaining my new tank.

I ordered the tank about six weeks ago and this weekend it will be delivered. I will use this thread to log all the details as things progress. My equipment list is below..

120x26x30 Custom acrylic tank (405 gallons)

120x26x48 powder coated steel stand

Custom 60x18x18 sump filter (84 gallons)

Reef Octopus Regal 300sss 12” protein skimmer

(5) Ecotech radion xr30 pro led light

(2)Ecotech Vortech MP 60 quiet drive wave makers

(2) Ecotech Vectra L1 return pump (For redundancy)

Aqua Ultraviolet 80 watt uv sterilizer

Kessil H380 Halo refugium light

Apex Controller

Apex energy bar

Apex Vortech wireless module

Apex breakout box

ATK auto top off

(2) Apex 1in Flow modules with FMM

Auto top off reservoir

BRS 6stage 150 gallon per day RODI system

(3) 300 watt eheim jager heaters

(2) 105g Ace Roto-Mold tanks for mixing station

Panworld 150ps external pump for mixing station

So above is the stand roughly in place, the other pic gives you a idea of the area its going. Once the tank and stand are in place, we will be installing a 30in x 30in stone pillar on both sides along with framing down the top and bottom, then adding cabinet doors.
 
First tank, And you got some awesome equipment! Cant wait to see it up and running
 
thanks everyone, tonight is effectively Christmas Eve for me. All of the equipment will be delivered tomorrow, i will post a pic once it all arrives.

Whole house 50kw generator, so all electrical will be on generator.

Cut a whole in ceiling this morning to fish PVC tubing, electrical and cat5 for Apex.

nice.. will this be located on the first floor? just wondering if you supporting the floors?
 
Welcome to the addiction and make sure you enlist some veterans for advice since fish stores don't always put together a lot of these large tanks. Also "two heads are better than one"
 
I am so jalous! I will be setting up my first 125 tank soon. You aregoing to get yours up before I get mine! You're hooked!!!
