i added braces in the middle. and i'm laying some 3/4" oak on top for the tank to sit on also.
and theyre a lil dead.

well, finally got a few days to work on the stand. got the caulking and kilz painted on the interior stand. bought the two mag 7 pumps i'm going to be running. got the baffles cut at ace hardware for $13 for 5 of them. got those in the 40b and caulked. put the trim on the stand and today got the first coat. here are some pics.
heres the 30b on the bare stand. cant decide on how i'm going to open it up and close it.

heres the 40g breeder(sump) pretty basic drain is where the skimmer xp1000sss is goes into the refugium. going to put some sand and chaeto and try mangroves. then the return section with the two mag 7s.

heres coat number 2. dont think i'm putting a 3rd on cause i dont want to risk anything. lol now just the polyurethane and the doors and i'll be finished. yay!!!!!

heres a lil diy filter sock. thank god for the 40b sump. it has so much room. dont know how y'all do the small cubes. today cost: free

heres a pic of the frag tank with the return and drain done. have 3 separate returns two on the bottom to keep stuff from settling and one on top.

heres the top view. see it a lot better with the white bottom.

heres the return section. the display done and ran out of 3/4" pvc to finish the frag return. should be done tomorrow.


my diy filter sock holder have both drains going into the sock with union at the end so i can clean or change socks.

drain for the frag tank. drilled a hole on top for the air to escape and not cause a siphon.
