$6,000 Orange Bubble Mushroom sold at RAP?

If you can sell one for more than you paid ,do so now. I will not buy an artificially inflated marketed mushroom. I heard 80% of what comes in is bought by one retailer. Guess Who?? Very smart marketing plan.

Ur rite tho forreal bounces get crazy crazy big , even for me around 5 6 oclock it blows up double the size then the morning you dont really realize it when their that small

My understanding is the coral was brought to attract attention to their booth. Often times this is done to get people talking and visiting the booth just to see the coral. $6000 was the cost put on the coral. There were others at the show priced for much less which shows you that they didn't really want to sell the coral. Obviously with someone willing to pay that price, they were willing to part with the coral.

You mean the WWC bounce?

jesus if that bounce sold for $6,000 I feel sorry for the guy.

The WWC bounce grows pretty FAST. Feed it reef roids or something like that. It will grow.

It also propagates EASILY. Just take a razor blade through it and you get two bounce.

I know someone who knows someone who has a 10 inch diameter WWC Bounce. They grow jesus. Don't have to break into your child's college fund to buy a mushroom.

Whatever, if you have deep pockets feel free to buy your coral.

Does not take Business Degree to realize that the SUPPLY will increase (not at the same fast rate as other corals because wwc bounces rarely come in at wholesalers legally but they are propagating them in the hobby at a fast rate), therefore the price should drop. They're not a sensitive coral and they are propagating fast within the hobby. There's just a bounce craze at the moment. I probably saw 8 different vendors with WWC bounces in their frag tanks at RAP.
Let see some picture?
Maybe you can sell me a frag if you're in the bay area

It was absolutely not a PR move. The same guy bought many of the most expensive corals at the show. I have known Jorge and Liz for years as they have been members of our club long before Reefer's Cove was born.

Ah good to know. I would love to see their collection.

Talked to my Dad about this.
Me, "You know that bounce mushroom I have that I got at MACNA?"
Dad, "Yeah"
Me, "Well this past weekend someone had one this large (shown with hands) and it sold for $6,000"
Dad, *Looks at the mushroom* "Grow little guy! What do you need to do to make it grow?"

Hahaha

Ok guys it didn't actually sell at RAP this year. It was in mike palettas speech this year about how it sold I believe 2 or 3 years ago at RAP. I was at RAP all weekend. sat through all the speeches and heard all the tumors also know half of the vendors. There was a guy there walking around with 50k in a brief case though. That was pretty interesting.

Flat out wrong! It sold this year on Saturday!

Good way to get your name out in the saturated online market place. If I had it id spend it. Who cares, money is money. I've wasted more on stupider stuff.
