How is the budget going?

Please, please, please do not ask me that. The wife may come across this page at some point......

I can say that I got a system set up and running and cycled for the initial budget. This did not include any lifestock, food, decent test kits or test Equipment, replacement for failed used equipment, improvements like ATO, or supplements required for balancing. If anything my wish list is only limited by my sometimes lack of imagination.

00.......

Here are the latest shots with some new additions courtesy of a great friend! Addition of a UV sterilizer solved the issue I had with the brown hair on the overflow and rocks. Everything is dialed in with the following stable levels

ALK - 8.1
Calcium - 415
Nitrate - 4
Phosphate - 0.04
Magnesium - 1420
PH - 8 - 8.2

Colors great and good polyp extension

Can't resist :p, lol.
That is nice and crispy now.

What is total cost by now invested with all the latest upgrades and add ons?
Turned out real real nice so far............

The little pump on the right must have been grown by now!?
Unbelievable that growth!!!! I knew you have a blue thumb !!!

Well done man! Good work on getting that tank back to life! Where did the Naso tang go? I really want one ;)

I would imagine that I am now at about $3500 with the XR30 G4 PRO, the new APEX and numerous test kits, equipment, supplements etc. Things are going well and beyond my wildest dreams, it is so calming to just sit and stare at the tank! Thanks for all the encouragement to get me into the hobby (took abut 2 years) and the support to make it a success in my rookie first year Andre.

The Naso tang just gave up one day, everything else was untouched. No signs of disease so I guess I will never know what happened.

Tank progress is impressive.
Did not expect such a growth rate on some of the SPS. Sure you don’t spill here and there an Ale into the sump, lol ?

I tried German beer dosing but with not much success.
