65g livestock list.

I have 2 sicce 3.0 I figure I might as well put them to work plus I am guessing this will help minimize the wave markers I will need. I hate ugly equipment inside the tank. Working on building some rocks right now to hide them.

This is a pic off my 40g breeder.

WOW! it's good to be home, in my own couch, front of my main tank. Went to NYC for 8 days. Got stories to tell about my DT+travel in another thread. Got to take measurements to see if the move is feasible...

Yeah I figure that one out after my first build . You live and you learned. Anyway I have no idea how I inspire you but I am glad I could help

How hot would you say those Sicce pumps get and what gph and head height?
The nano overflow I'm going to use on the cube has a 3/4 " drain which means at max all I can return is 1/2". What size pipes are you using, again?

I see you're putting valves on each individual return. Interesting.
I would've automatically put one closest to the output. You going for a gyre flow?

I don't know what a gyre flow is but I am bout to do some research on it. I haven't seen them make a difference on heat on my last set up. I only had one running. From the top of my sump to my return it was about 4 feet and it was amazing flow. I know the 3.5 for just a bit more money has a much better head height. You can check out there Max head height here http://sicceus.com/aquarium.html they are extremely quite Too. By the way.. I use some clear tubing between the pump and the pvc and keep the pump about an inch of the glass to keep vibration down and it's almost silent

Made the move yesterday. Well worth the effort. They're next to each other just not tied in. with the height difference, I can set up a siphon from the DT to the 29! life is good...another pump. Not necessary. 3/4 " i.d. plastic tubing might just be the only thing I purchase for this project. But for now, the corkscrew I dry fitted with spare PVC parts from my irrigation bucket. O:-)

Nice. I guess that's what I love about this the possibilities and options are endless

So I decided not to draw from the return line to the DT because I just upgraded that pump recently for much needed flow.Unfortunately , I won't be able to run my hour long feed mode until I get a more powerful pump. It's about 4 feet head height I will need. It sounds like the Sicce 3.0 or 3.5 are next on my wishlist!

Yeah the 3.0 at 4 feet it seem to do great. But if I was you I would go for the 3.5 the head height it's much better and the difference in price is minimal. Syncra 3.0 Pump: 714gph, 9.9' max head, 4.30psi
Syncra 3.5 Pump: 660gph, 12.5' max head, 5.43psi.. The 3.5 has just a bit less gph but at the end it's a more powerful pump.

Hmmm, I think I'll need a little more gph than that. The Rio 3100 return pump I'm running says 3420 LPH (~900gph). Don't know the psi info for that model.
I might tee off (vertically) to make a more efficient gyre in the DT. It's too risky to tee even 1/2 to the cube. I paid the price before when I reduced flow in my DT!

I actually being thinking of getting a vectra m1. Is much more then I need but again with so much control I only have to use what I need.

Yeah that is why I want to run two
Lol. If you want a lot of flow and no powerheads you will. I gotta figure out how to hook up the siphon tube (from a friend's canister filter) to direct its flow. It's waaay stronger than the pumps that came with the cube.
What are you using for your 4 returns?
