Woke up to a completely jellied octo colony. The one with "saggy nut syndrome".

Kept braking heads itself.

I think it got sick after the last break.

Pulled out colony. Think it fell on one acro. Cuz it was dead the next day.

But. If you read this far. I cleaned glass . Been awhile for this angle. Fresh algae scraping in water column.

That's supposed to be a sad face but my phone won't let me to anything but like or try to copy a hyperlink. We'll say it's a like for cleaning glass. Sorry about your loss

Happens. I'm just glad I could confirm it wasn't anything wrong with the tank. It was a single dumb coral and clumsy me.

I do think it could have been from chronic low calcium . Leading to weak calcium structure though. I'm a multiple offender of low calcium

Yeah idk what that even is....
Antimony is a chemical element; it has symbol Sb and atomic number 51. A lustrous grey metal or metalloid, it is found in nature mainly as the sulfide mineral stibnite. Antimony compounds have been known since ancient times and were powdered for use as medicine and cosmetics, often known by the Arabic name kohl.

basically it looks like you havent gotten any of the foundation you wear on your face in the tank... good for you...

What i dont like about these tests is that we have no way of knowing the base line is even correct... what is it compared against...

how do the numbers for Alk, PH, CA, Mg, No3, and Po4 compare to the tests you run on your tank? If for nothing else at least it will give you an idea if your testing is within a reasonable margin of error...

This is the main reason i do ICP ,to double check myself and the testers i use 363 days of the year.

I do wonder now that you said something about antimony..... I did do alot of in tank cipro dosing. That was the only thing that came to mind as a possible source.

I do not dose anything else that would have it, therefore it would only be from a leaching otherwise.

Yeah maybe a bag of that metal out stuff. But then maybe not. I have to go back through my spread sheet to see if that's ever popped up. May want to check out the Moonshiners FB page. I know you don't run it but they are wiz's when it comes to icp test info.

Yeah. They'll tell me I need zinc :)

Idk a lot of stuffs growing quick. And is happy. Few pieces have bit the dust in the last 2 days that I've had for awhile.

Corals weird.
