75 Gallon Livestock

I decided to go with a blue-eyed Kole Tang!
Congrats! I have a blue-eyed two-spot bristletooth tang (Ctenochaetus binotatus) in my tank, and it's a gorgeous fish with a great personality! I'm pretty sure the blue-eyed Kole Tang is just another common name for the Ctenochaetus binotatus, so I'm thinking we'll have the same fish. Take a look at my build thread if you want to see some pics and videos.

They’re the most personable fish you’ll ever own in terms of a tang! I hope yours is as calm as mine is, I find that it’s nothing to do with “They all act this nice” it’s to do with the singular fish. These are very nice even as adults, mines a completely brown fish but under the blues his blue pattern becomes seen, the nice blue ring on the eye really separates them from the rest of the family because everyone else has a yellow or brown ring (I think chevrons have that brown eye?).

Yeah the Blue-Eyed Kole is what you have, C. binotatus is commonly called Blue Eye Kole over here in the UK so I assume that’s where the OP is. They’re truly beautiful and mine still has his yellow tail on a deep brown body. I think these guys are my favourite tangs in the genus but second favourite just behind the white tails and goldrims.
