Thank you! I’ve got a miniature farm of hammer frags taking up the front corner of my tank right now, but I’m planning on doing some more photos and a tank tour video tomorrow after I trade a bunch of them into my LFS.

Well, it took 3 days for my little baby yellow tang (aka Jeff Goldblum), to become king of the tank. Every previous fish addition would be spent watching my bristletooth (aka Chewie) to make sure he wasn’t harassing the new fish too much. The baby yellow tang is now cruising the tank posturing and if the bristletooth wanders too close, the YT is clearly the dominant one.

Our Biota YT (Jeff Goldblum) is growing great, and definitely thinks he’s king of the tank. He’s not intimidated by anyone, including Chewie, our bristletooth, who is clearly annoyed that there’s another dominant fish in the tank with him.
In other news, I got my new-to-me AquaUltraviolet 25 watt UV plumbed in and running last night. I’m running it on a loop in the sump; not as good as a closed loop in the DT, but simpler for my setup and still doing way more good than not.

Wow the tank looks amazing! Fish very happy.Turned on the skimmer for the first time today. Planning on running it wide open for 2 weeks to break it in. If anyone has any tips for how to tune my first skimmer after that break in period, lay them on me!

Just caught my bristletooth, Chewie. He hasn’t settled down since adding Jeff Goldblum to the tank…been instigating fights and chasing pretty much every day with all of the bigger fish in the tank. Had to get a fish trap to catch him successfully, cause he’s fricken FAST, and I wasn’t willing to take all of the rocks out to have a chance of getting him with a net. New fish Sunday! Picked up an absolutely stunning Splendid Pintail Fairy Wrasse yesterday, and he’s doing great out in the DT today and eating like a champ after spending yesterday in an acclimation box. A little chasing here and there from Jeff Goldblum (our YT) and Helios (our flame angel), but nothing too serious. Most importantly, he and my exquisite fairy wrasse are completely peaceful toward each other.
