Alright, update for today. Got some corals less excited lately, have not made any changes in the tank, and no dosing. Frogspawn receding is not fun, been with us for 2 years and 2 moves. Torch and mushrooms a-ok. Tubastraea and blastos have been asterina food. Bah.
New clowns are rocking and rolling however, no issues there. Reduced feeding, bristle worms still prevalent but not increasing, asterinas are maintaining despite my manual removal. I see Harlequins at the LFS.. Algae being controlled nicely by CUC, coraline starting to come back after the last move. Lights back to AB+ for a few weeks.
Multiple tests, Red Sea and Hanna kits:
pH 8.5 (?)
Alk 11.2 (?)
Nitrates ~50
SG 1.025
Ammonia 0
Nitrite 0
I did pull the auto feeder which is a magnet for pineapple sponges and went to manual feeding during a 15% WC a few days ago (tests prior to WC). Will retest tomorrow.
Love this Avast feeder but algae does clog things with it in the DT. Would love to use it in a sump return chamber.
Asterina Uber:
Want to get the Go Pro out and do a time lapse on Pistol Shrimp, he works like a boss. West exit has a nice new frag plug roof.
