Achilles Tang On-hand Meds?

I've heard everyone saying these new Hex and Ich shield medicated foods won't work because the fish won't eat it. Got em in today and just watched Mr. Achilles, Orchid dottyback, and maroon clown destroy this stuff! I'd highly recommend, it's packed with vitamins, HUFA'S, other necessities. Hex-Shield having the highest analysis of all.

You can't feed that in the display tank. That leeches those meds into the tank. I would also set up the qt now and cycle it. Or you will be using whatever fish that gets sick as the cycling fish and you will surely lose it.

Thank you for pointing that out!! IDK why the company would put the directions INSIDE the food container....

Ich-Shield is not okay if corals/nems get ahold of it. Safe for everything else.
Hex-Shield can be used in the display and will not disrupt biofiltration nor will it harm any filter feeders.

The video in this velvet thread shows the powerhead symptoms about midway through. Hiding from light, being suddenly cryptic, not eating anymore, spots of various forms especially if quick onset (but if you read through responses you'll see dots aren't necessarily present on body they may impact gills only out of sight), heavy breathing, erratic swimming (first video shows this), etc.
VERY GOOD INFO! That cleared up alot for me. Thank you!

More pics and updates please. I have to live vicariously through you
Ask and you shall recieve my friend! I just took all these, if you have any questions let me know. That chart is a color coded way of keeping up with what I dose/feed etc. The blue labeled bottle is home made phytoplankton concentrate. The two frozen foods are my carnivore and herbivore blends. I had to remove label cause someone will come nag me for not paying sponsor dues.

I also ordered a Turbo Twist UV sterilizer last night, should be here Saturday and that will be fed off that ball valve on my manifold. Here's some screen shots of my lighting and pump schedules if anyone is curious.

Looks good. Only thing I would say is that the red is a little high. Try lowering it and maybe adding more white

Just out of curiosity how bg
is your tank? Gallon wise. I'd love to have this fish in my tank but not sure if it's big enough. It's a 6 foot tank
