I just looked up both suggestions and doesn't look like either one based on its shape. That colony is probably about 5-6in wide for reference. Any other guesses?
Interesting thanks for the great info.You cant ID acropora going off of overall colony shape/growth form, your coral has sharp nariform radial corallites as well as microclados' signature immersed very small corallites I circled mixed in-between its prominent radial corallites that many sometimes mistake for pests until they look closer at them.
Microclados is my best guess
