Anyone know the name of thos one?

Looks like a microclados judging by radial shape, placement/ occurrence of incipient axial corallites, stand out trait is the very small non exsert corallites/ flush polyps occurring towards the base of the branchlets that sometimes get mistaken for pests on microclados.

I just looked up both suggestions and doesn't look like either one based on its shape. That colony is probably about 5-6in wide for reference. Any other guesses?

You cant ID acropora going off of overall colony shape/growth form, your coral has sharp nariform radial corallites as well as microclados' signature immersed very small corallites I circled mixed in-between its prominent radial corallites that many sometimes mistake for pests until they look closer at them.

Microclados is my best guess

Interesting thanks for the great info.

No worries,

Compare the structure of this photo to the end of the new branches on your coral, specifically note radial corallite structure as well as incipient axial (tubular corallites near the tip that will eventually form new branches/branchlets).

For reliable guesses you really need to look at the fine details like this, rather than overall growth form of the colony, hope this helps!

Nice piece!
