Acropora Color Troubleshoot

Hey did you ever brighten up that purple valida? Mine started as 2" brown frag now is about 4" with bright growth tips and looks like it growing just like yours. I was hoping it would brighten up around the base but concerned it will be just a brown frag with nice tips.. Oh well its been awhile since your last post thought it would be nice to see if you could increase coloration through nitrates or other means.

Im pretty sure thats just how A. Valida is. Ive had many frags and colonies and all of them have a green/or tan base with super colorful growth. In super high light the base will get more pale with visible white like the original post. The whole piece will never be one solid purple/blue color like the new growth.
