Looks fine to me. You can see mine has that bit of white on the tip hopefully yours is starting to crust the plug

The problem why i worry about the no3 , its because the old tank was below 5ppm .. which means the change to 30s is bad for it ... Stability is the key and my acro doesn't had the chance to acclimate to the new environment.... Thats why i thought about it .. but anyway 90% of my acro frag still doing good ... I will keep observing the situation to see whats coming in the future

If my acros have white tips I just carry on. If they are dark tips I start to get nervous like a school girl the night of her prom.

To give the helper credit - I went out of country for 30 days. Luck would have it my AWC system crapped out on day 2 in my smaller system, but was indicating it was working. NO3 SKY ROCKETED from 15 to 50. about 10% of the acros couldn't handle that swing and were partially covered in coralline when I got home. Some of my Montis were pure white. Several VERY large water changes and things have settled down. Swings are bad, very bad for Acros.

I agree stability is the most important thing , and any big difference in parameters can cause stress and problem to sps

Hi @Biff0rs this is a new picture from today ... I think its a bleaching issue

So maybe this is happening cause of the level of No3 on my tank ....

Can you get a better pic? It's kinda hard to tell. Maybe a night shot with the flash and get a nice focused pic. Are polyps out? Has it encrusted?

This is the best quality i can for now , yes the polyps are out , but not in the white heads

I can guarantee you that 99% of what I buy comes from lower nutrient systems. Nitrate alone is not going to kill anything.

Looking at those new pictures. You might have some stn or bleaching. Kinda tough to see. Maybe give it an iodine dip for like 10 min and really focus on getting stable water parameters.

What drives me crazy , is my parameters stable i keep testing water evryday ... And no evidence about fluctuations ....

I just went back and look led at original post. Yeah I mean those numbers are pretty good. Did the frag have any puddle over the glue or encrusting?

Nn i dont think so , eveything was good for the first week to 10 days , untill it start showing this issue ... I start thinking about switching to a LPS tank and give up on SPS LOL

It was most likely a very fresh cutting then. I don’t think it your fault in that case. Don’t give up could bounce back.

Ok, so, I'm back to thinking it's stn. Here's why - the frag is new, and most sps will encrust before growing new branches. I don't see any encrusting. The main tip looks ok-ish but I assume the other white areas were on the frag when you got it and look pretty white.

General guidance:

New frag (<1 week old) -> STN/RTN
New tank (<1 yr) -> STN
Par > 350? -> bleaching
Par < 150? -> STN/RTN
Param swing? -> STN/RTN
Swing examples-
Alk moving > 0.5 dKh in a day in either direction
PO4 moving > 0.20 in a week
NO3 moving > 10 ppm in a day
Sg moving > 4ppt in a day

Old frag (>3 weeks) & Established tank (2+ yrs) & 200-300 Par -> growth

Where did you come up with this chart? This seems crazy lol…never seen or heard anything like that. and to the op it looks like growth.. it will most likely brown out in your tank and stall out then start growing and coloring up again..
