Thought I would share what I walked into a little after the new year arrived here in the UK.
My Acropora Spawning
Ps ignore the dog whining to be picked up lol
Roughly 18m not had it long TBH. Grown it from a small colony.Very cool! How long have you had the coral in your tank?
Cheers! Mark
Thanks.Must love dogs. It is all good.
Cool that you captured it.
Not sure if it would help but maybe post some details or whatever you know, type, has it happened before, just luck / chance you ran across it, etc. @Thales dose this sort of stuff for a living and maybe some if it may be new or not. Don't know but cool. Tells you you are doing something right!
Yeah I was truly amazedThis is really awesome wend it happens in home aquaria, did you noticed if you had a male fertilising the eggs at the same time?
Yeah I was truly amazed![]()
Not sure about them being fertilised TBH I was caught in the amazement of actually seeing it spawn lol
I don't run any moon setting on my tank at all. I don't even run anything special TBH. I'm actually a lazy reefer lolJust the fact that they spawned is amazing, thanks for sharing, we don’t see this often in the hobby, I’ve read once that the moon is a big factor on this event, Am Really curious to know do if you have moon setting on your tank.

last night was the waxing crescent moon phase probably worth adding this info to your thread as readers may like to add information on this awesome event. It is but the window is always covered with blinds. That and the moon is never visable where the window is. The moon is only ever visable at the back of the house. Is the tank next to a window or something? I bet the moon has something to do with it
Thank you.Congratulations! That's not something everyone can do in their tanks. You must be doing something right.
