Adding a frag tank

I'm adding a 40 gallon breeder frag tank to my main 75 gallon display setup. My question is what size bulkhead/tubing size should I put in for the drain/return to go into my sump?

So 2 pumps in the sump to each I'm wanting to link 2 tanks also but use the same sump that's why I'm asking

Yes I am putting an extra pump in for the frag tank. My return pump for the 75 isn't powerful enough for both tanks

Well I went ahead and drilled my frag tank and out in the bulkheads. I went with 1" bulk heads for both the drain and supply. I'm going to order my overflow box this weekend. For the first time drilling glass it went very smooth. I was extremely nervous but I bought the drill bit and a drill guide from Bulk Reef Supply and it worked perfectly. I have Plasti-Dip black spray paint to paint the back and bottom. Hopefully within the next week or so I will have it running and hope it works ok.

Well I got it up and running tonight. It took some tinkering to get it to run silent but I was able to do so. I'm very glad I put a ball valve on the return side. I made a frag rack out of black egg crate and it turned out nicely. I decided to try Jebao pumps and am glad I did because of the price and because they are silent as well. Overall I'm very happy with the way this turned out. UPS lost my LED lights from SB Reef Lights but luckily they located them and I will have 2 16" basics to install on Wednesday. Tomorrow I'm adding my DIY BRS screen top as I am going to add a few fish to this tank, I also have to clean up the wiring as well. What do you guys think so far?

I just recently did this with my 120 reef. Added the BRS sps frag kit next to my tank and drains into my emerald 34. All ran off an ehiem compact 5000 until I upgrade to something bigger does the job just fine though!
