Ok Im adding 3 tangs to my tank I currently have 2.

Total tangs will be

African Blue Tang Small
Naso Tang Small
Powder Blue Tang Medium
Blue Hippo Medium
Yellow Tang Medium

With the additions of the tangs, and we all know no matter what happens ich will be a issue. QT or not its gonna happen. I am going to add some cleaner stuff to help and was wondering if this will be enough

4 x LG Cleaner Shrimp
2 x African Cleaner Wrasse

I have heard this helps alot with cleaning off unwanted critters from fish. Do you agree. Please let me know Im doing my order at noon est.

IMO, it should be fine. I've used both to assist in the past. IMO, as long as there's minimal bickering, you'll be fine even without the cleaners. If I may ask, what's the order your putting them in? Also, which 2 are the current tangs?

Cleaner wrasses and shrimp do absolutely nothing for ich.

current tangs are blue hippo and yellow, the other three will all be added at the same time to miminalize fighting, there is pleanty of rock to hide in, Plus my shipper QTs all fish for 30 days in a copper solution to help. So the cleaners Nor the wrasses will help in any way? If not Im gonna remove them from my order

Imo, don't use them as Brett stated.

Ive always been lucky with just overfeeding when a outbreak happens and it seems to work. I dont feel its right to take a fish that gets ich, and stress it out even more by catching it and throwing it in a small tank.

Cleaner shrimp and wrasse do not help prevent nor cure Ich. If that's the only reason you are getting them, then don't get them.

I have 4 tangs in my tank: puple, naso, hippo, tennenti. Unless you have a gigantic tank, the best chance of having multiple tangs coexist peacefully is to get different shaped tangs. The 4 tangs I have are all differently shaped. In your list, the resident hippo tang will likely attack the african blue and the powder blue. Not only are they all simillarly shaped, the hippo tang is probably one of the more agressive tangs from the get go.

As far as QT and treatment, I suggest you do it yourself. I know a lot of sellers say they "treat" their fish, but who knows 1.) if they really do it, or 2.) if they do it properly. You plan on a lot of tangs, I wouldn't risk it. I have QT'd and treated all my fish with 4-6 weeks of 1.009 hyposalinity. I dip all my coral, and if they come in a big enough rock I QT them in a fishless environment for 6-8 weeks. Overkill? Nope, remember I have 4 tangs, and you plan to have more, all Ich magnets. I can honestly say I have an Ich free tank, been running that way for over 3 years.

I
have a qt tank set up, I always dip corals.

Yes 5 ft 125, it has currently 250 lbs of liverock with probably 50 different caves, i notice the blue and yellow stay to the right end. I have built a nice acclimation box out of egg crate. It will hang on the tank its 2 ft wide, 18 inches deep and 10 inches wide. I was going to put them in there for at least 24 hours to see if any aggression is notated, Im not worried about the naso , the powder blue is going to be the biggest. She will be 3.5 inches which is about the same size as the blue hippo

The Powder Blue and the Blue Tang are not going to get along. Eventually there will be an all out war. Most likely the Powder Blue will win, since it is a highly aggressive fish. Other than that I will refrain from being the tang police this morning.

Yeah, I'm not worried about the naso, either. My naso is a gentle giant, a puppy that likes to do tricks to please and will eat right out of my hand. The naso also serves as a peacekeeper, patrolling the tank quieting things down by his sheer size. Blue tang vs powder blue, Caribbean blue vs yellow is the risk. Especially in a 5 foot tank.

Oh no I really wanted to ask because of this issue. I have tried researching and Im getting mixed reviews. Because I first hear simular shapes dont mix then I hear several of the same species dont mix. Do not worry about space. They are going into a 300 as soon as our house is completed. The largest one is only going to be 3.5 inches. I come and ask this question because I never want to put fish in jepordy. I wanted to get them all use to being around each other. I did plan for this by adding so much rock to the tank to allow for territory and hiding spaces.

For example mixing a purple and a yellow tang together.
Purple Tang (Zebrasoma xanthurum)
Yellow Tang - Hawaii (Zebrasoma flavescens)

So I was going off species
Blue Tang (Paracanthurus hepatus)
Blue Caribbean Tang (Acanthurus coeruleus)
Yellow Tang - Hawaii (Zebrasoma flavescens)
Powder Blue Tang (Acanthurus leucosternon)
Naso Tang (Naso lituratus)

Not that my opinion will change your mind but, I have a Scopas tang and a Tomini tang that are well established in a 362 gallon tank. They get along great. Everyone says a powder blue should be the last fish added, which in my case it was. It is slightly larger than the Scopas and it has been torn to shreds by the Scopas. Between the Scopas and the Emporer angel my Powder blue is not doing well. They have calmed down on him some but I hope you realize there is a really good chance you will loose one or two of those fish.

maybe Ill remove the powder blue. Seems like he might be the issue. Any other tang that you would recommend?

trickedout omh i would love love love a 362 gallon tank..omg......just the possibilities with something that big...but my husband would absolutely kill me...just a dream unless i would hit the lottery...then i would go really big.....and have someone take care of it.........
