Hey your in WA! Nice to see local people!
want them lol

From what Ive read, when the aiptasia is under attack/stress, they release planula from their mouth, free swimming larvae. I have also read they release them from their sides as well but I do not know how true that is.

I just found my first aipasia in my new tank and i decided to used Red Sea's Aiptasia-X. It worked really well, you have to follow the directions exactly. Seal the mouth first with the adhesive paste. It had completely dissolved by morning. and its been about 2 weeks and none have popped back up, not to say they wont but things grow fast in my tank, including those dang anemones lol.

In my last tank I had problems with them and tried both Red Sea's and Joe's Juice as well as berghia nudibranchs, and one of those electric wands. It was right when they first came out. The nudibranchs worked good until they started to get caught in the over flow etc. I had to put filter pads on my over flow to catch them and then I would GENTLY get them untangled and place them next to an anemone. they almost took care of the problem. I realize now I was using the aipastia-X incorrectly. I did not follow the directions exactly. With the wand, the whole tank would literally flinch when i used it. All of my corals would simultaneously contract for a quick second. Something about it did not seem good for the tank. And the Aiptasia came back. I've heard the electric wands actually oxidize the salt water and create what is in effect bleach in your tank. I am not a chemist so I do not know how true that is but I did not like what it did to my tank.

my 2 pennies of experience with those *******...

Lol do you want them?

no way to frag them as they are on my main center rock.
