Aiptisa?

peppermint shrimp are hit or miss...you cant really tell them what to do. I tried for a while...but still had a few. So I bought some Joe's Juice.

Joe's Juice 3 - Aiptasia 0

Ok I'm in Baldwin if you want to try a filefish and your lfs don't have let me know I'll try and get one for you

Well going to need to get one but the tank is sitting fallow so I have to wait another 37 days I'm letting ick die off
You can try some commercial products but make sure you it all, They spread like crazy. Can you remove that rock without much trouble? If not try the Nudibranch.

Make sure you get all of it or them, they are a pain if your not careful. A matted file fish is what did it for me, tried everything and I mean everything until I got the filefish, took about two weeks and then the aipastia started to disappear. Haven't had any problems with the filefish either. Great tank mate

Anyone have experience with there Nudibranch ? Might be worth buying a few.

Yes, on the "other" forum they can't say enough good about salty underground. If you go this route, you may be able to set up to sell the nudis after they do their job to another reefer. They will just die of starvation once your aiptasia problem is under control. They will breed until that point though so you may end up with quite a few.

Yes they are good also pops corals in Brooklyn just got some in. They are hard for me to keep cause of my wrasses but will be trying them again in my overflow and sump and see what happens

I'd recommend nudibrachs because I was successful with them after trying everything. It did take a few months to rid them all( I had a heavy infestation) but in the end I was victorious :). I purchased mine from salty underground. Wish you the best of luck!!

Peppermint shrimp. I had some aiptasia that came in on live rock in my 10g and i bought 2 peppermint shrimps. Make sure they are try peppermint and not camel shrimps.

I haven't seen any aiptasia since.

Berghia Nudibranchs worked great for me. They seemed to breed rather quickly to the point when I had no more Aptasia I would find them on the glass during the day meaning they could not find any more aptasia. I started out with 5 and caught and gave away 10 to a friend in 2 months time. Plan ahead and keep them going to their next tank.

I've had one excellent file fish that the LFS would "rent out". One that only liked acans.. Once they are in check a laser works best for me.

And now that you say that, I just observed my file fish nibbling on an SPS fragment. I have to catch the little sucker and give him to someone who needs aiptasia eliminated....
