That explains it. I was tired of scraping the green algae off my glass so I put Phosphate pads in my filter and then the brown strings showed up. Maybe I should dose some phosphatePlease read through the first page I sent you. It'll give you a lot more info than I can. They saved my tank.
What is LR?Becareful the rock will absorb a lot of the phosphates. That's what happened in my system. The other thang you'll need is biodiversity. I suggest adding some lr if possible.
