If this rock is something you can remove from the tank, I would remove the algae and then keep dribbling hydrogen peroxide over the area to burn off whatever is left. I have done that with tough algae in the past and it worked well. Your corals will be fine for a while if you keep them wet by squirting some water on them every now and then.
