How can I get algae off of my frag plugs? They have zoanthids on them.

I have had some good success with a turkey baster helping to thin out the algae. Then the emerald crabs tend to finish it up.

I have had the same thing happen to me. Some fish such as a blotched rabbit fish will get it off but you can also use a toothbrush, it works for me!

thankyou I have the same problem with the same coral I will use your advise

Can I dip in peroxide? I really dont want to scrub because its on all my frag plugs.

Tooth brush, just knock the stuff and move on

Even if i have a few polyps? I literally only have 4 or 5 polyps on some frag plugs and they are engulfed in algae.

whenever i have algae on my plugs, I take them out of the frag rack and place them on the sand bed .. my clean up crew does a wonderful job.

My clean up crew is lazy lol my snails are under the sand until I feed, and all my crabs killed eachother

Sounds like you have Nassarius snails - they're looking for leftover fishfood, but not algae. See if you can find some Astrea, Nerite, or Trochus snails, which are more likely to be interested in algae.

Thats what I have. I have the Nassarius snails, and one turbo that sits all day and moves at night lol

my mexican turbos would work great for a few days until they got stuck then die. I had some pretty good luck with emerald crabs, but in the end manual removal for guaranteed results. Zoas are pretty hardy
