Algae or dinos on acros?

Anyone know what this is with the bubbles attached? Seems like Dinos but it’s only in my frag tank which is connected to my display. None at all in my display, same lighting too.

Used my kid’s microscope. This is of the stringy bubble in the first picture.

Dinos...I’ve battled this recently. Highly suggest getting a microscope to ID it and reading through the Dino thread. Good luck.

Stuff on your rock looks like dino. The stuff on your floor bed not so much but.probably is.

Isn’t Dino slimy/snotty? The stuff on my rocks mostly blows off and seems “powdery”.

It seems to also be on the back glass that I don’t scrub. My tangs constantly pick at all of it.

It could very well be cyano. Hard not seeing it in person. Usually dino is stringy with air bubbles that pull the strings up.
Cyano you can suck up with a turkey baster in matts almost.

Whats your filtration, flow, and wc.schedule if u have one?

It’s not Cyano. I just treated with Chemiclean. All the red mats are gone.

The brown on the sand remains. It usually peaks in the day and then subsides at night.

You've got dinos

Quit feeding the dino so much extra nutrients. Cut you feedings to 1/3rd and do weekly water changes. In 6 weeks it should starve out

You start dosing a bunch live bacteria crap, you'll crash your ecosystem

Cyano can be red. Brown. Green. You can treat it but it can come back if the conditions are right.

Yes, it’s likely dino on the sand, but the brown stuff on the rocks seems more hairy. Can’t tell if it subsides at night.
