I checked the solubility of calcium hydroxide and it's pretty low so it would make sense if it's precipitating.

Do you mean calcium carbonate? That is what precipitates initially as pH rises in seawater.

Just to circle back on this....so i took off my co2 scrubber as Randy suggested.....then bought hanna checkers instead if these color shade ones (was using red sea pro)

Im now getting much more consistent readings....i think with the color scales i'd under measure then over correct.....or over measure and over react.

My "consumption" actually has gone down and my sps is perking up
