Hello guys I started doseing 5ml of all for reef in my 65 gallons tank…started doseing about 3 weeks ago I am Noticing algae growing on my rocks po3 0.03 nitrate 5…would doseing all for reef cause Algae?

No. It could actually slightly lower nitrate and phosphate. Algae is normal in every tank; you just need something to eat it
What do u Recommend to eat it…I have pin cushion Urchin that like to carry my snails around he dose a good job eating the algae..it’s just not keeping up

All for reef would not trigger algae but bright white light will as would organics and overfeeding
Reduce white intensity a little and utilize the following cleaning crew now that there is a food source for them:
astrea snail
cerith snails
Turbo grazer
trochus snail

Pin Cushion urchin (acclimate well)

Caribbean blue leg hermits

If I don’t over feed my Nutrients go to zero…my tunze 9004 dc skimmer dose not pull much skimmate…I have ai prime light at 10% white..if the skimmer is not pulling a lot of skim..dose the mean the water is clean?

not necessarily. Check your height in the water. Assure it is fractionating

It depends on what type of algae

As many already said TM AFR wouldn't be the prime reason for algae. Do you have any pictures of the algae, display, and the spread? That would help provide more tactical and reasonable suggestions.

Also has noted algae is going to use everything that the corals will use to grow. Light, flow, and nutrients. Welcome to reef keeping. It is all about balance and having the right herbivores for the job. And what they don't get we take to task to manually remove. And when I talk about manual removing I mean dealing with it when you see it and it is accessible and able to be manually removed.

With regards to herbivores it is also about balance. Too many and they starve. When they starve they die and when they die you will see an uptake in nutrients that algae will use. Too few and they can't keep up. Wrong ones and they don't do anything at all and everything that you didn't want.

65 gallons I think you said so you are somewhat limited with fish more so based on maturity, rock coverage, and of course maturity. Too bad they are out of stock right now but a 5 or 10 pack of aquacultured red tuxedo urchins (mespilia globulus) would probably nice to have. They are super small and will get in between tight places. Love those little guys and Vossen has done an amazing job.

Again can't really recommend anything without knowing how big of an issue you face. Long and short of it is just balancing the herbies. Don't panic. Don't buy a multi pack. Just understand what is in front of you and address.

I hate chemical attacks, for the record. Except a calcium hydroxide/sodium hydroxide mix which kills everything it touches, including bryopsis.

I just started doseing my tank on Phytoplankton…and brightwell bactor 7 daily hopefully this helps with Algae…don’t understand y I am still getting this stuff.. tank is 1 year old….. Especially when I watch my nutrients..this hobby is more stressfull then enjoyment…I agree with on chemicals

I fly RC helicopters for stress, marine tanks are a breeze :)

Algae at the numbers you have grows not because of a dirty tank but rather nothing is eating it. The light color doesn't matter. If you can grow corals, you can grow algae. Sounds like that one urchin is the only thing eating it, therefore I would grab another urchin or two.
