The noise from my water was too annoying in my room. Maybe I’ll try again later when I have somewhere else to put it. This was short lived lol.

what is noise coming from??

I’ve had so many pumps that are noisy. The beat I’ve found is a sicce sincra but the smallest one for what you need. I have a 0.5 and it’s perfect. I also have a 1.0 but if you throttle the intake down to reduce flow it makes a ton of noise and mine actually created micro bubbles.

There are several methods where the tank will be completely silent. If you ever come back you can always ask we are happy to help.

I'm always amazed by people who say sicce syncras are quiet. Maybe just high variance due to poor quality control.

They sound like blenders compared to DC pumps. My 2000gph DC pumps are quieter than my Sicce 0.5 on my 10g.

Thanks it’s not the pump or anything it’s just the sound of the water through the filter.

Agree, i cant even tell if my jebao is on sometimes.

My son uses dual HOB Filters and the noise is pretty substantial. He was able to lessen it by bringing his water level right up as close as possible to the outputs of the filters. Don't know if it's too late, but if it's not you can try bringing your water level up (assuming you are using hang-on-back filtration rather than an All in One or a Sump Setup).

Would like to know what you have. I have a 29 gal with an Eheim Canister 250 and I can't hear it running at all. I also use Tidal HOB filters and once they have been running a week or more, totally quiet. You do have to keep the water level up near the filter. You can always purchase an ATO also.

There's no reason or need to have the sound of trickling water. Modern equipment makes it very easy to have almost silent tanks.
True. Unless you simply don't have the time or money to take care of it.

I like the sound of water trickling at night. It lets me know the pumps are a pumpin' and the overflow is a flowin'

I 100% agree, wasted money on 2 Sicce pumps and both were unbelievably noisy, same for Eheim, ended up with a jecod 90% quieter.
