Am I evil for not wanting to grow SPS?

Nope your totally cool for not liking them, more for me. I have been contemplating pulling this rock from my tank that has a few bright red shrooms and giant green implosion palys.... not even because I think they are ugly but because they aren't acros... Yes I am addicted like that. I will probably keep the couple rics I have just so when people look at the tank they don't say geez you don't have anything else in there do you.... Wrasses are my other addiction LOL

My 14g is mainly sps as well, think there are about 25 pieces in there now.... I need help LOL

I was on the same boat. They just looked like sticks with simple colors and that's it. No movement etc. But once you get the hang of everything else and try your hand at SPS, it becomes a whole new group of corals that you tell yourself you can buy. And that's when it starts... LOL!

Guess SPS for you is like Chalices for me. Chalices are very much a collectors game, but for some reason I don't like chalices very much, the only one I have is a pink ******* because of it's beautiful pink coloration and blue-ish rim.

I've always had weird taste in corals though. When I get excited over something most of my friends go "meh, why do you like that?" LOL

Started with the easier stuff, like palys lps and zoas, now im packing my tank full of sps, its all i buy but I have to admit, I just had the LFS hold me a 3 polyp frag of some sunny delight zoas today...so im not completely sps, gotta love the color, im all about color dont care what it is, if its got color I WANT IT!

I think some have the wrong impression here.....it's not that I don't like SPS corals, because I DO like them. I just don't want them in my nano talk. I just don't have the room. I want to use what limited real estate I have to pack in LOTS of color and movement. I also don't want to upgrade my lighting for SPS at this time.
I know some day, and some day fairly soon I have a feeling, I will have a larger tank and will no doubt get my feet wet as it were :tongue:
