I have a 42 incher right now and it’s perfect height—then 12 inch tank on top, so closer to five. That’s my preference though—it’s also pretty easy to work with.

You'll have to figure out your tank placement and likely viewing heights, seated, standing, or both.

I have a tank with those dimensions I have a yellow and a powder blue tang, 2 picasso clowns, a lawnmower blenny, a spendid dottyback and an H. Mag Anemone.

Both of my tangs are currently about 5"

A little under 4 feet for the stand is great for 12 inchers for standing and sitting. But, I’m sure you’ll like whatever you do, so go crazy.
