So I've had some of my frags of zoanthids start closing randomly it's like one day it's fine next day its closed and never opens. This time I think I saw a tiny spec of orange on it. I took it out and I didnt see anything on it to take off. How big is a nudi should they be relatively easy to spot?

I had nudis recently. What I can tell you is their camouflage is close to perfect, during day with lights on is tricky. Best way to spot them (in case you have) is at night once lights are off. They are small but at night you can distinguish better as the zoas close. They are small, but big enough for the eye to see.

Has anything changed in your system? What are your parameters? I have some that are very sensitive to nitrates. I always know when they’re getting high because they close

I feel like mine open and close and are different each day. The only pest I can find in my tank is hundreds of vermatid snails. But it's so weird like when I go to LFS small colonies like my zoas are fully extended and look great mine are rarely all ever fully opened it's like half the tank is fully extended and the other side isn't ... It's sooo frustrating

I also found this today on another which isnt the first time I saw one of these. I'm sorry horrible pics it's hard to shoot at something so small through the glass.

mini mag light.
usually if there's one, there's more.
once you've seen one in your tank, you'll know what to look for.
me and the mrs. have gotten pretty good at spotting them with lights on.
suck them out using a turkey baster.

Everything about right side from kh which I'm slowly raising through topping off
1.025 sal
.03 po4
18 no3
6.9 kh
0 ammonia
0 nitrite I sidnt check calcium or magnesium this go around

I know I just realized it was that low 2 days ago and have some baking soda in top off water I dont want to make too drastic of change too fast

The Kh probably isn’t helping. I’d look at them after lights are off (using a flashlight ;) )
You can get a cheap blue led flashlight on Amazon.
