Now I have an earworm. lolI hate big pumps, and I cannot lie....

Maybe you should go by Sir Reef Alot?I hate big pumps, and I cannot lie.....
Anyway, yeah it looks a tad large for that size tank. Could you get away with possibly just an upgraded return pump and an RFG?
I'll definitely keep it. It will make a good saltwater mixer, inside a five gallon bucket.A tad large. And you cannot adjust the flow on that one either so its going to blast your front glass and probably kick up sand if you go with substrate. Tunze is nice and they are a little less sticky outty (scientific term) and you can manipulate the position easier and control the flow. I'd keep this Hydor though for the bigger tank you will own some day...trust me![]()
This.If you don't like the price of the mp10, the little Jebao/Jecod DC Wavemakers can put out a ton of flow in a much smaller package. I think mine was like $65 or something and that was with a rather large LFS markup.
Tunze 6040. Not as pricey as an MP10 and a lot more reliable than a Jebao. I have one going on 4 years currently.
