Any ideas? I want 10 ember tetras, 5 dwarf corydoras. Heavily planted tank and I’m just looking for a larger fish. Any ideas? If you’re concerned about the fish amount, look how big they are.

When I had freshwater tanks, I was a big fan of Powder Blue Dwarf Gouramis. You could do one of those :)

My favorite blackwater fish in a nano was always Pygmy Corys and Chili Rasboras (Brigittae) they are amazing little fish. Both are a smaller but similar fish to the ones you have now. Makes the tank look more natural with the size comparisons.

10 or so Ember tetras or Cardinal Tetras would be good for a ten gallon, just make sure they have plenty of foliage to dart in and out of. Also make sure you have a tight fitting lid because those little fellas are prone to jumping when spooked.

A group of 6 or so Cory cats would look great swimming along the bottom. Use a fine grade sand and their barbels will grow longer and they'll be active all day rooting around for food :)

A single Apistogramma agassizzi or coackatoides would look nice as well. If your LFS is like mine and never has those fish, you can get a trusty German blue ram, the gold or electric blue Rams are also good options.

I would also get a team of 3 or so otocinclus catfish for tank maintenance.

I got my start in aquariums with Amazonian fish 6 or 7 years ago and these types of fish were very rewarding :D

Definitely gonna get some Pygmy corys

We just got in some agassizzi but would they be ok with embers?

I second the dwarf cichlid or the ram cichlid. One or maybe a pair will be ok in a 10g. They don't get any larger than 3" or so. Rams for sure will not bother your tetras. Probably will even swim with them. Corys are awesome little catfish, I have a julii and two emerald green in a 10g with fine sand and a few simple plants. They keep the sand pretty clean in there.

Realizing the top half of your tank will be empty . . . what about a marbled hatchetfish or two? (You'll need a cover, for sure!)

Taking notes... lol. I'm gonna be setting up a Amazon basin 40B planted tank next year. Leaning rams for the main focus but might do dwarves...

Talking about this makes me miss my planted tank a little bit. I couldn't find a picture of it after the plants filled in. Eventually I had to constantly trim the tops. The hatchets loved it though. I added some Amazon frogbit to the top as well, just had to tie off to keep out of aquaclears flow.
