Much easier when mounted actually. I have a 6’ one and cut the cover in to 3 pieces to make it easier if I need to remove a segment. It slides on or off pretty easy, but that is not so easy once installed or if you just want to remove a portion of it. It still is not that hard to remove. Just slide your thumb along one side under the cover pushing the tabs up while pulling the cover away gently. It works kind of like a zipper.

Are they plastic? Just cut size needed with hack saw?

American DJ is good, but Pyle seemed to get better reviews, and I preferred the blue switches!

I have that same one but I haven't mounted it yet. Still trying to figure out how I'm going to get everything installed inside my Innovative Marine APS Stand.

On this one I made the top part of that shelf, kind of like an upside down U, I screwed that to the underside of my stand first, and then I screwed the bottom on, maybe that can work for you.
And of course being careful to use right sized screws so you don't go through stand top, sure you know, just gotta say it though...

Looking good. Interested in that chaeto lamp..can you point me in that direction lol

Thanks, home depot or lowes, think these are about $12, similar to the metal dome shop lights but these are PVC so they don't rust.
I have an LED lamp, works great.

If you have time shoot me over the exact fixture and bulb, looks to grow yours well

My normal PC w/ all my good photos and links is down, don't think I can pull up anything to help there.
Any HD will have them in electrical, LED is a small flood growlight, think it's 65K
