Is the green BTA wild? Wild BTA's can be hard to acclimate to tank life. Cipro might be a good idea, in addition to getting it placed where no fish try to become friendly

Is the new BTA wild? Wild and aquacultured BTA'S rarely thrive in the same tank. It is unsure why but loss can happen quickly or take a year or more. Tanks have been known to crash even when wild and aquacultured BTA'S have been in the same tank. Just an FYI... Good luck !

Yep, seen this happen more than once. Hopefully they recover.
I wish Mihn from Corpus would weigh in. I can't remember his handle on here but he's a master with nems. I'll look around as I saw him post recently. I think it was about restarting his system post Harvey.

No, the RTBA is tank raised. It came from 26 splits lol. The green one might be a wild one because I got it from a LFS. They screwed me over I'm pretty sure. Everything I got from them pretty much died or did poorly except for one softie. Never again. From now on I'll purchase frags from local reefers.

Nope I think it died. It’s super deflated and pale. The water smells horrible.

I put a hang on filter with some carbon and I added some prime to detoxify ammonia and nitrite. Temp was between 77-79.

definitely not dead, pull the rocks and change them out for a coffee mug. Rocks are a super bad idea in a QT.

Also in a QT just dumping prime in is not the answer, especially not for a nem. You literally need to simply change the water. I'm not sure why it looks like there was algae already growing in the tank.

Ok I’ll change the water and pull out the rock.

EDIT:

I put a mug next to the nem, reduced the flow from the hang on and changed out the water. It's still attached somewhat so you are right it's not dead. Well, you never stop learning. I'll get going now. I need to drive all the way to Santa Ana to get it. Better than ordering. If I ordered it, it would take longer.

Yes the ratio of cipro and water matter. Make according to directions but put use 2 g in the tank[emoji6]

Sorry, on my phone fighting it. Take 2 gallons from the 10 gallon medicated SW and put it in the tank with the nem.
