Anemone has shrunk over the past 5-6 months

Just checked on the nem. It's dissolving. Parts of it are floating around in the water. I don't get that. It started declining rapidly after I put it in the QT. I hope the antibiotics are going to work.

The GBTA looked like it was dissolving in the picture. If it's body is beginning to disintegrate, it is a goner. Sorry but you tried.

It's still attached. I'll wait until tomorrow. I think I should have started treatment months ago when it was deflated but still somewhat ok. That poor little thing went through a lot. I basically put it in a freshly cycled tank. There wasn't even algae in the tank when I put it in. It was bleached and probably already sick. It hid for weeks.

Yes no hurry with it being in the tank alone. You could continue to try but do WC's...you have some[emoji6]

If hand on until the last. If I've learned one thing about these guys recently it's that they are resilient. I was sucking these tentacles out and discovered that they were healing into a new nem

Should I keep trying? It’s already disintegrating.

Why not? You have nothing to lose and everything to gain. A small part mouthy survive and regen

it's gone

But it’s still attached. How can this be if it’s gone?

It has stopped dissolving and the water has not gotten cloudy so far. The water is a tiny bit smelly but nothing compared to yesterday.

Could my clowns have infected the green BTA? I've been reading about how peoples nems got infections from frozen food or fish. I don't want my new RBTA to wither away the same way.

I am sorry your anemone did not do well. For some reason, it is doing poorly. Seem that I was too late to give my opinion, not that I can help a lot other than find what is wrong and correct it. It maybe infected, or there is something in the tank that it cannot tolerate. If you cannot find what is the problem and correct it, other anemone likely will suffer the same fate once you put it in there.

How will it suffer the same fate? How can you make such a diagnosis lol? It's already in the tank and doing just fine:

The clowns are in a breeder box and I'm asking specifically whether or not fish can infect anemones. I will have to treat my clowns if that's the case. Simply saying that it will get sick as well is nothing but a wild guess. My water parameters are fine. Everything else is growing just fine. It is not my water. When I purchased my green one, it was already bleached and probably infected. Also, It has not died in my tank. It started fouling and disintegrating once I put it in the QT. In my tank, it just did poorly for the most part but it did not start rotting or anything. It never showed its guts. So the options are A: infection or B: clowns were too big for it or A and B together.

It is possible that your green one was infected. BTA are resilience, much more so than other species. Sometime they get better without treatment, other time they succumb to the infection. If it is infection, and your RBTA was not infected yet, then it likely will do well, other wise it may follow the same path after several months. What we or I can offer are guesses, but nothing concrete. It the best we can do.
Other possibility could be that there is a short of essential trace element, or toxic amount of certain trace element. This is nothing more than a guess on my part. The requirement of all the animals we keep are not the same. Sometime, certain coral or animal, cannot live in one tank, but not other animals.

Essentially no one knows for sure because research hasn't been done in this yet

I think I should toss the green anemone. The water is not cloudy today but if I take a turkey baster and blow some water into its mouth you can see pieces coming off. It's basically slowly rotting from the inside out. A part of me wants to keep treating it but is it really worth it?!

Up to you at this point. I say keep treating, but I'm also the type who adopted and kept a paralyzed dove alive for months. I would medicate him, situate him, so when he pooped he wouldn't get it on himself and clean that are several times a day, and take him outside for sunshine and physical therapy. Many think that was overkill. If I don't go to that extent I regret it. I had one looking like yours and I regret not trying for longer, just so I know for sure that there was no chance that I could have saved it by doing better or trying harder.

Well, its insides came out earlier. I tossed it. RIP.

Sorry that he didn’t make it. What happened to the little guy that broke off the main guy?

What do you mean? It didn't split if you mean that.
