last check was on monday. ph 8.1 temp 76 nitrate 0 nitrate 0 amonnia .1 salinity 1.024 i added a little ph buffer to try and bring it up and also added a little more saltwater to get it up to 1.025.
not sure why my ammonis is up, was at 0 before adding new fish and the nem.

added 3 ocellaris clowns, a six line wrasse, 3 sapphire damsels, and a yellow tang( i know the tank is too small, my wife had to have him, and when he gets bigger i have a buddy with a 180 that will take him) also added snail hermits and shrimp. i know its alot, but the only way to get stuff around me is through the mail.

That is why your ammonia is up! Lol too many fish at once. I would try to take a few back or house them somewhere else for a while.

yeah i know, but the only place that has saltwater within 2 hours of me is a petco a little over an hour away. all the fish are very happy and were the small size. just the nem is struggling. Also the tank is cycled, it has had a clown and 2 bangaii cardinals in it since late February.

Everytime you a day fish your tank will go through another cycle. All be it much smaller and much quicker. However adding several fish it once in a smaller tank can easily push ammonia and nitrite levels too high too quickly.

Do a healthy 25 to 30% water change and then try spot feeding the anenome. If you cut the top off of a three liter bottle to make a funnel and then place it directly over the anemone you can then squirt mysis or cyclopes in the top and leave it for about 10 minutes.

i added the new fish over an hour, but the tank had already been supporting several fish. I guess i also forgot to mention, that i had 6 green chromis for about 3 months before they began to kill each other off, there were 2 last ones left when i added these new fish, but they were not looking good and hid all the time and i havent seen them for awhile. I think they may have finished each other off. There was a rise in ammonia, but my thinking was if the tank was cycled for the chromis and they were gone replacing them with other species all at once shouldn't throw it off too much. Hope I didnt get too wild with it, its been 10 years since my last tank, and i worked at a retail store where we sold pet supplies and fish as a side, so I never had the problem of having to order a couple hundred $ at a time.

ok, water change tonight!! do anemones really release a poison when they die? maybe I should pull it out and put it in a holding container inside the tank( to regulate temp)???

Fwiw.......don't do anything! Your increase in fish, increased your bio-load. The anemone will react quickly when there's a water problem. Relax, the anenomes are very hardy, yours is recovering from shipping and your tank.
I've been fighting high No3's for 2 months, and my RTBA is a 1/10 of its original size. Now, it's back to normal. I feed it every 2-3 weeks, only frozen, if a fish dies, freeze, cut small, and feed. Never feed when your anenome is closed, or like yours, adjusting. I haven't fed mine in 2 months. As far as lites, I have orbits. I did turn the intensity on the lites down, but save your $$$. I'm growing Zoas, mushrooms, chalices, encrusting corals, and monti's.
Wait, do a weekly WC. Watch and wait. And yes, Anemonies give off toxins, but their hard to kill.
