Anemone ID and care info please

Can you ID this type of carpet anemone please. I just got him yesterday from a couple who are moving and needed to break down their tank. I'm not sure it's happy. Any info would be appreciated.

I had 1 for about 2 years got ot big had to get rid...NIce if you dont have some stupid fish (like a 5" Hippo) got ate...

Im curious,
How long has your tank been setup,Looks like it hasnt been over 6 months,im guessing how close am i

Also,he/she will move till its satisfied.i use to feed mine only small pieces of shrimp(bout the size of its mouth once a week,then the clowns started feeding it

You guessed right the tank is only couple months old. :-( I would have never purchased this anemone on my own with a tank this young. The previous owners wanted to give away everything in their tank because they are moving. ........I hope I didn't make a huge mistake....

Youll be ok,Mine was about 6 months and i got mine and people told me it was to young,but it made it
along as u keep up on your Parameters you will be fine.Also I believe clowns really make anemone alot healthier IMO

One thing i wouldnt feed is silverside. stay with raw shrimp and some krill
other people might tell ya different but its just again my opinion .

What size tank?

40 gallon breeder with protein skimmer. 40lbs live rock....live sand...coralife T5...2 small koralia powerheads. We have an RO/DI filter for water too. The only thing I'm not proud of is our canister filter. It's a new fluval 406......I pulled the foam stuff and ceramic bio thingys out and i am just running carbon right now... The stand my husband built is really cool and will hold a 20 gal sump someday.

My nitrates are not where I want them :-( 20ppm Should I go ahead and do a 10% water change tonight and change out carbon in filter?

What is your SG/Salinity?

The tentacles could be a bit longer, but its condition doesn't look too bad.

10% change wouldnt put a dent in them nitrates.. only way to get nitrates cut in half would be a 20 g water change

I would do a 25-40% change today then another in 3 days..feed less also..20ppm isnt to bad especially nitrates...let me guess though is that api kit your using

There are 4 bulbs. Yes they have reflectors. 2 are 10,000k and the other 2 are blue it says T5 ho? And then there are 2 LED moonlights.
It's been three weeks on the carbon.
SG/Salinity is 1.023

I'm a nervous reck over this tank!!!! I mixed 5 gallons of saltwater last night it is mixing with my powerhead and a heater to match the temp in tank just in case I need it.
