The alk is probably from the salt that you are using.

Tropic Marin regular runs really high alk. Try to find a salt that doesn't provide elevated alk.

Give it some time, it might be trying to move around and get to it's favorite spot, they shrivel and plump up for multiple reasons, mostly because they are little whiners and do whatever they want, lol

Led lights for corals usually have names. Not just led light strip. And if it came with your 5 gallon it's probably not the right one. Coral need special attention from lighting, flow, placement and water quality. The water chemistry in a 5 gallon fluctuates drastically, and having 2 fish in the is not a big enough tank which causes even more water issues.

Very likely the tap water. Use distilled or buy RO from your LFS.

I know it’s probably not what you want to hear, but my advice is to take it back to the LFS until you’re more ready for it. Your water chemistry is off, and likely inconsistent. You should be using RODI long enough you can trust there is nothing harmful in your tank. Watch the BRS 5minute series on YouTube, or any of their beginner guides. You need a better light situation, and likely better flow as well.

Good luck with whatever you decide, but I would spend more time preparing.

Tap water is bad. Your alk is WAY too high.

If you want success in this hobby you need to be dedicated. If you aren't then you should ask yourself if this is something you really want to do.

There is no product that will reduce your alk.
