Anemone not looking good!!!

I feed maybe twice a week. Has been inflated then just all the sudden gaping mouth. I hope its splitting. And it was real responsive when touched closed up tight quick. Then after the water change it looked good. Still has nice color on tips.

I also think your tank is too young. Wait till the 6 month mark. Give the BTA to a friend and take it back when your tank is more mature.

I am the only one i know with a reef tank.

Let it be. It could have nem expelling the water it had in it and taking in the new tank water. When i feed their mouths open nice and big yen when they get done eating they go back to normal

Gaping mouths aren't cause for concern, in itself. I would stop feeding it for now and watch it.

Also, diatoms come and go even in tanks that have been set up for years.

There's no set rule that tanks magically become "mature" at x amount of days/months. that's a dangerous misconception in this hobby.
