Always in the same spot, he foots and unfoots constantly. Any reason why... I feel as though he is healthy, always takes a half a shrimp with out problem every other day. Is this normal

Yeah I thought healthy looking to... He's been in there 3 weeks. Never moved from that spot

If it's taking food, its mouth isn't gaping, hasn't lost color and isn't trying to move, then I'd say it's fine. You could try to bury its foot a little but it's able to do that on its own so if it were me I'd just let it be.

If he's moving then my previous comment no longer fully applies, something made it not like its old spot.

Ha You don't have to get it. Just realize that most anemones are dumber than a couch and they'll do what they want even if it's completely ridiculous. Sometimes they get it right and find a spot they like but often do silly things.

Looks like sabae anemone. If it is, it doesn't like exposed foot. Usually it will bury it self in a deep sand with only the tentacle visible.

This one's Macrodactyla doreensis, but it is the same as sebae in how it doesn't like its foot exposed. I think @trioledeployment was hoping it would bury its foot in the few weeks it was settled but now it's traveling.

Yeah he was buried, then UN buried and buried again... Now roaming. Substrate is a bout 3 to 4 in deep. Might have to much flow?

Yeah, I hate when nem start moving around. A lot of things makes a nem unhappy. Maybe OP should stop all wavemakers and let it settle and bury its foot. Some anemone do stressed out during shipping, making its foot less sticky.

Still won't foot. I think it's healthy.... At won't point do you give up and get out...

A gaping mouth doesn't mean it's immediately going to die and nuke your system, you've got time to see how it will do. Is it moving around on its own or are you moving it to different spots?

His own, odd though. When I first dropped him in he footed immidiatly in the sand, for a few days... And was eating like a champ... Now floating around for a week, and stuck in corner, but still not footed, and still won't eat.

Might just take some patience, if it ate recently don't force it to eat. Have you tried playing it's foot buried in the sand a little?

That would make it unhappy, but it's unlikely it would be moving around like that just because it has a tear in its foot. They're plenty more resilient than some think and heal quickly.
