You should stop feeding him for sure, and I would remove that crab, he definitely isn't helping the situation.

It is a 50/50 chance... he is pretty bleached but it is very possible it could go either way.
You should do the bowl idea and get ready to do a big water change just in case the worst happens. Or remove him from your tank. It is really up to you. I have personally seen them bounce back. And I have seen them die as well.
