Annnnnd.... Now the floor comes out

Yup, that’s perfect.
Also, clean the sensor with a toothbrush weekly. Small amounts of detritus can turn them on.
Snails can turn them on.

It was brand new out of the box yesterday

End of day update.

All the flooring that got soaked through where the flooring swelled has been removed.

One frag tank was moved to a tuff stuff 26g bucket for the night. The other frag tank has been emptied, and relocated to our bedroom for the time being. We had to work quick on this as my wife and I had fragged 200 plugs of gsp last night.

Left a fan on the area all day, and went to visit my parents for the afternoon. Had some burgers, hot dogs and a beer. Got back home about half hour ago and the floor is dry. I'll leave the fan on it all night and get to work on the floor tomorrow.

ATOs need to be on a timer so they are only on a few times a day; enough to supply the tank with what it needs to keep up with evaporation and no more. Also good idea to keep enough capacity head space in the DT/sump that it can take the full ATO reservoir capacity if anything goes wrong.

So I got the floor back in on tuesday, it had to be done then we had a home inspector that came today (we currently rent the house, but are buying it from our landlord).

It wasn't an easy process, and I wasn't at my best doing it. I was cursing allot and messed up a couple cuts around the door jam 3 times, which wasted 3 boards. I only had so many boards since the flooring is discontinued.

If anyone has to do this on a laminate floor, suction cups and rubber mallets are you friend to get pieces out and in. This saved me from having to rip up half the floor to get to the affected area.

I have downsized my frag tanks from a 33 long and 50 low boy to just the 50 low boy for the time being. The wife has given me the ok to move the frag tank or tanks to the basement if I want.

As for the duetto ATO that caused this mess, they sent me a shipping label to send the pump, power supply and sensor back. Their going to test the parts and send new ones. But honestly, They'll end up sitting on a shelf because I'm not going to trust it.
